At Celeryville, our task is not only to provide a quality education, but also to do so within an environment where students learn to work, relate to others, and influence God's world.

 

OUR HISTORY

CCS, which was founded in 1930, offers a quality Christ-centered education in an inter-denominational setting for students from pre-kindergarten through eight grade. CCS has become an invaluable educational resource for Christian families living in a four county area.

Praise, service and commitment are vital to the spiritual growth of God's children, and CCS will make every effort to incorporate these components into the education of our young people. CCS also provides a unique home schooling opportunity.

 

ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT

CCS seeks to attain academic excellence within an orderly classroom environment. The course of study has been developed in accordance with the standards prescribed by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), Christian Schools International (CSI) and the Ohio Department of Education.

Each child at CCS is taught by experienced teachers who have developed carefully coordinated curriculums. CCS has been using the nationally acclaimed Renaissance Place program which has helped our students to achieve an exceptionally high level of reading comprehension.

Mathematic programs emphasize basic skills and significant time allocations are give in some grades to give stronger foundations for mathematical challenges for later years.

Verbal and written proficiency is stressed in reading, spelling, and in related courses in language, literature, and composition.

In the area of science, even kindergarten-age children explore God's wonders in nature on a topical basis. Middle school science organizes itself around the main headings of physical, life, and earth.

 

SUPPLEMENTAL PROGRAMS

CCS offers sound academics integrated with a Christian view of God and the world. A few of the school's unique offerings include: Tutors, Computer Lab, Art Instruction, Concert Band/Choir/Orchestra, Interscholastic Sports, Educational Field Trips, and Speech Therapy.
